A scratch too close, her stinging haunches proclaim. The tunnels surround her now but the loss is still keenly felt. Two dead before the poison was known and avoided. Another foolishly lured into the walls themselves. And now a beast has decided her at last. Perhaps too late, but the dead do not complain.

The danger here is as certain as the gifts. The journey ahead has mysteries and bounty unknown. The only way forward is change.
